Our Spring 2 Learning Journey
Here you will find our curriculum overview as well as this half term's homework web.
Maths
In Maths, children will continue to develop their multiplication and division knowledge, including formal methods for both. We will then move on to decimals, as well as area and perimeter.
Times tables are also a real focus this half term, and children will be doing times tables sessions 3 times a week based on the 6 and 7 times tables. Please support your child to embed their learning by encouraging them to practise at home! TTRS is a great way to do this.
Hit the button is a good website to keep practising your times tables too, as well as the Multiplication Check:

English
In English this half term all of our learning will be based around the text ‘Everest’ which links to our Geography and Art.
The children will work their way up to writing a persuasive letter to government discussing the pros and cons of tourism on Everest. Learning about the impact tourism has had on Everest’s habitat and the animals that live there will help your child in this half term’s Science, English and Geography lessons.
If you would like to share this story at home, here is the video:

Geography
Our geography topic is mountains this half term. We will become a part of a mountain community, looking at the impact of tourism on mountains as well as their features and how they are formed.
