Important Information
Our Year 4 email address is: year4@rsmps.co.uk please use this to communicate any amazing work you complete with your children at home or ask any questions you have. We will endeavour to reply within 24 hours. However, we will always be available at the end of the day to speak in person. Please feel free to catch us if you need to.
PE
Year 4's PE day is Wednesday. Children need to come to school wearing their PE kit every Wednesday. Some children also go to Tennis on a Thursday afternoon, this will be rotated throughout the year.
Library
Both year 4 classes will visit the school library every Friday. Each week the children will have the opportunity to choose a library book and take it home (or keep in school if they wish). As they will go to the library each week, they will be able to change their books. Remind your children about the 100 book club. How many books can they read from the list by the time they leave Riddlesden St. Mary's?.

Homework
Reading
Please make sure you read with your child at least 3 times a week and write it in their home reading journal.
Time Tables
In Year 4 the children need to know all of their times tables. In June 2025, all Year 4 children in the country will take the multiplication check. We will be practising within our maths lessons and ICT lessons (through TimesTableRockstars!) Please encourage your child to practise at home. If you need your child's login details or any other information, please ask. Practice can be recorded in their home reading record.
Your child will also bring home a piece of times table homework on a Friday, please ensure they complete this and bring it back in on Monday.
Spellings
Children will receive a new set of spellings every week, they will then have a spelling test every Friday. Please support your child to learn and practice their spellings at home.
